Laminating is a process of applying a plastic-based film over the surface of your printed image. A laminate is a great way to preserve the longevity of your printed work. It will not be necessary on all of your printing projects but if you have produced a graphic which will be located in a high traffic area or displayed with the intention of human interaction, such as a museum exhibit, a laminate will protect your graphic from scratches, moisture and oil based contaminants. Once laminated, images can be easily cleaned using mild detergent and this advantage should be a major factor in your decision.
